What are the different study methods?
Mindmap
Revision Cards
Smart Phone Apps
Making Powerpoints
Recording yourself and playing it back
MindMap
Creating a mind map is easy. Write the topic in the middle and use arrows to direct key information.
I believe mind maps are the best way to revise for subjects with lots of information like History or Physics. It gives you the opportunity to get key bits of information down without overloading your brain. They are best kept at home and work a-lot better when you add colour to them.
Revision Cards
They come in all sizes and if you don't know how to make them just visit my blog post "how to make revision cards". I like to use revision cards to write down formulas so I can whip them out and remember them just before test.
Smart Phone Apps
These are great but you can't use them at school and so they should be used in your own time. There're a few I would recommend if you would like to know which are the best free apps to download email me.
Making Powerpoints
Probably the most easiest thing to do, but I wouldn't recommend wasting all of your revision time on this. I don't think it helps you remember but it might work for you.
Record Yourself
Record yourself stating information on a certain topic and play it back to yourself whilst your on public transport or not doing anything that requires your full attention.
Comment any revision techniques you find useful as I may need them for my mock exam.
