Top 10 reasons why you should buy used books

books

There seems to be a big stigma around buying used things. These days everything has to be new and as humans we degrade anyone who doesn't have the newest product out.

Do we do the same thing with books?

It seems we don't maybe books are too quirky for judgemental people to critisise if you have the new book or not.

Here are my reasons for buying used books:

1. IT'S FLIPPIN CHEAP. You can buy a new book from the book store for £15.99 but the same book, which happens to look the exact same to the new one is going for £2.99. Used books are great for people who love a bargain.

2. It's the easiest cost to cut. As a student books cost a-lot. When I mean a-lot, who knew a book could cost £45. Like woooah. And you have to buy the book otherwise you won't be able to make decent notes. You can buy that same £45 book for £15, you've just saved £30. That £30 can be used for lots of different things. Including cute stationery or a night out.

3.You can write all over them without worrying your about to ruin a brand new book, because the book isn't brand new. You can highlight all sorts and you won't feel guilty.

4. They make excellent gifts. You're probably wondering what I'm going on about. Well... You can buy 10 books for around a £10 maximum. You can then make a hamper or gift set with 3 books that are aimed at certain relatives. If you want to know how to make book gift set hampers and what to put in them, let me know and I'll post a blog.

5. CHARITY NEEDS YOU! You can spend £1 on 3 books in a charity store and possibly pick up a book that may be on your syllabus. Meanwhile the money you donated to charity will be making a difference else where is someone else life. You did that. All you had to do was buy a book. If not for yourself buy one for someone else.
